The ME Sitges Terramar Hotel, a key hotel for Meliá Hotels International in Spain, is celebrating its first anniversary while continuing to position both the brand and the destination.

One year after its opening, the ME Sitges Terramar has exceeded all the expectations defined for its first year of operation.
The Meliá Hotels International forecasts for the hotel are also very positive and the company is confident that the ME Sitges Terramar will be able to maintain its current position and consolidate its image as the “place to be” on the Catalan coast.
Located in what was previously the iconic Terramar Hotel in a privileged beachfront location, the ME Sitges Terramar is now reopening its doors for the new holiday season, celebrating its first anniversary with new attractions for visitors for both the summer season and the rest of the year, creating added value in a destination, which has always been very seasonal.
New features for the first anniversary
Culture is an essential dimension of the ME by Meliá brand, with its hotels being hubs for local, national and international cultural events and attractions.
The ME Sitges 2019 Cultural Programme will see the different hotel spaces full of different types of art work throughout the year.
The “Art Gallery and Exhibition” area will welcome three emerging or well-known artists from Sitges, Barcelona and other locations, and will also be the setting for “living art”, including sculptures, performance art and a design market.
From a more “holistic” perspective, the hotel offers group experiences such as “sound healing”, a form of musical and meditative bathing.
Throughout the year, the ME Sitges will be putting a strong emphasis on the “mother tongue” of music, including DJ sets, live music and an eclectic fusion of jazz, swing or folk mixed with electronic music.
