In summer 2020, the leisure airline Condor will take off from Berlin-Schönefeld (SXF) to its most popular summer destinations around the Mediterranean.
With an Airbus A320 stationed in Berlin, Germany’s most popular leisure airline will return to the capital.
Together with Leipzig/Halle Airport, where Condor has the largest number of passengers among the airlines, Condor will then fly from the two major airports in the east of the Federal Republic.
Ralf Teckentrup, chairman of the Condor Management Board, said: “We are delighted to be returning to the Airport Berlin-Schönefeld with departures from Berlin after all.
“The great commitment of the tour operators makes it easier to make the economic decision to offer connections to the most popular destinations of the residents of Berlin and Brandenburg.
“Condor will be the only airline offering flights from Berlin to the popular island of Samos in the Aegean. With the return to Berlin, the leisure airline Condor will be represented at all major airports.”
Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, chief executive officer of the Airport Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, said: “Condor is Germany’s traditional airline in the tourism industry.
“The flights to the Greek, Italian and Spanish islands, which Condor will include on its flight schedule in summer 2020, are a good addition to the connections from Schönefeld for summer 2020″.
In summer 2020, passengers from Berlin will be able to book the newly introduced Business Class with exclusive lounge access, a free middle seat in the front rows of the aircraft, free drinks and menu options, additional carry-on and checked baggage, free sports baggage and many other benefits.
At the same time, the leisure airline is expanding its fare options in Economy Class: “Economy Best” offers, among other things, more carry-on and checked baggage as well as free seat reservation.
The new fare supplements the classic Economy Class fare and the “Economy Light” fare, in which guests travel at a particularly low price with carry-on baggage only.
